My
name is Yuriy Krasnov. I have been involved with photography and graphic
design on and off for about 10 years, maybe more. I am a professional
photographer and have studios in Los Angeles, California and Cleveland,
Ohio. My photography comes from my drawing, accordingly I am more
interested in artistic aspect of it. I believe I have a good eye and
decent technical abilities with camera. However, what is really important
to me more is the unique ability that photography provides me, which is to
capture the world around me the way I see it. Needless to mention that,
sometimes, it is not exact replication of what any other "normal" human
being would see from the same angle through the same viewfinder. So like
it or hate it - it really makes no difference to me, but if you choose to
provide me with you feedback don't hesitate to "lay it on me" regardless
of whether it's good or bad. Politeness worth nothing here - honesty is
everything.
For
many years in my life I did things that were expected from me - worked to
pay my bills, maintained a "normal" lifestyle, etc... But one day I woke
up and realized that I am all grown up and still have done absolutely
nothing from what I wanted to do in my life when I was planning it for
myself. Sure, many would say - "wake up dude, life never is what you plan
it to be." And this would be true. However, I choose to try to accomplish
at least some of it.
I am not a very religious
person, though I do respect people's choice to have faith. I don't believe
in life after life, I don't believe that others can feel or understand
what is in another individuals mind. What I do believe is that through my
photography I can show people the world the way I see it, and if I am
lucky maybe make some of the viewers connect with my images and experience
some feelings more or less close to what I had experienced shooting it.
This is my way to communicate with the world, and, if I am lucky, let some
of my viewers understand how I see it.
